Akira Capsule Toys from Kaiyodo & Movic
Also known as Gashapon and Gatchapon in Japan, Capsule Toys are minature figurines that come out of large "gumball" machines in Japan. The toys come in plastic opaque capsules, which when opened, must be connected together like a little kit. If you bought them out of the machines, you would recieve one random figure. You can also find them boxed together with a number of random figures, boxed individually for export, etc and also collected together. They are made out of hard PVC and stand around 3 inches tall. Some of the Toys in a perticular set join together, to form a Diorama. Akira has come out in three series so far.
